Optimizing Ubuntu PPC for iBook

After finally getting a reliable installation of Ubuntu working on my iBook, I'm looking to customize it for optimal performance, as well as install any remaining pieces to make it work correctly. Here's what I'm looking at:

1. Need to find plugins for Firefox for simple media (Shockwave, Flash, etc).
2. Want to get Compiz fusion working with Emerald.
3. Want to get power management working better (it seems to chew up the batteries).
4. Want to fix the rainbow splash page.

Contained there is a lot of info about editing your Xorg.conf file, etc. I'm going to keep looking, and I'll update my progress as I make it.
