Home router tinkering

Since my last post, I've made a few changes, including ensuring that my home network is now always on a VPN, something I had struggled with previously.  Why do I do this?  Because I am on a re-sold Sonic FTTN connection, and I don't want to leak any of my traffic data to AT&T.  I trust Sonic, and you should too.

I also have an OpenVPN server running, so that I can restrict all of my IoT devices (the "s" in IoT is for Security!) to just my LAN and OpenVPN traffic.  pfSense made quick work of both of these tasks.  If you're interested in what hackers (and anyone else who looks) sees from your network, run nmap!

Close those ports, and stay safe out there.
