Chrom(e)/(ium)

Honestly, Google Chrome is an amazing browser. It still has a long way to go on the extensions/customizability front, but damn that thing is fast. Its pretty amazing how much more I enjoy the web now that it is so much faster, and I'm on the Chromium (open source flavor) alpha dev builds. It's crashy, but I find the web so much more usable when things are fast. If you haven't give in a try, or its been a while, you owe it to yourself to try it out. It's amazing. Check out these benchmarks from this site: (Bigger numbers are better)

Chrome Dev Alpha:

Firefox 3.5:

Safari 4.0.2:

At this point, I'll rank by browsers as follows (keep in mind I'm on a Mac), on a PC Chrome is by far the best thing available:

1. Safari - at the moment the best balance of speed and stability/customization.
2. Chrome/Chromium Dev - Amazing speed, needs a bit of time to stabilize. Soon to be #1, I think.
3. Firefox - Too slow, but lots of plugins.
4. Opera - Fast, but ugly and weird to work with.
5. Anything else.
99. Internet Explorer.

Can't wait until Chrome on the Mac is ready. It is already pretty good. Long live web speed!
